Rose Rock is Oklahoma's first Microcreamery. They make small batch, hand-crafted ice cream using creative local ingredients to make unique flavors. They were in search of an Identity that felt classic to American soda shops, reminiscent of blue jeans, white t-shirts and classic cars. I created a simple custom-type for Rose Rock that felt kind of like an old License plate and supported it with House Sign-painter Script to give it a throwback yet timeless feel, with a sweet rose/cone Icon to anchor the logo-type. I worked along side my buddy David Hoffer to design the environmental graphics and signage for the store.
ViraVinyasa Yoga School is a new program that launches in Spring 2018, in the new Press Tulsa building that will feature both a coffee shop and yoga studio. The name combines to words: Vira = Strength or "Strong Hero" and Vinyasa = Flow or "Movement with Breath."
Margot Ballard, the founder of ViraVinyasa, wanted a logo that embodied Strength, Flow, and Spirituality all rolled into one. I created a powerful monogram mark that achieved that feeling, paired with a bright color palette to break the tradition of soft, flat colors used by many other yoga studios.
Chef Craig Norred, a buddy of mine has been home-brewing for a few years now. He is ready to take it to the next step and brand his home-brews as Turkey Mountain Brewing Co in hopes to began building into a legit brewery. I created a custom logo-type and icon for TMBC to get him on his way and hope to do more work with him in the future as he grows.
New Age Renegade
Services: Branding, Logo Design
New Age Renegade has been Tulsa's most well-known drag club since 1989. They have hosted Twizted Theatre, karaoke, drag shows, dances and all sorts of themed parties, welcoming everyone.
They have never really had a solid logo or identity system for the bar so they pretty much let me have at it. I created a system that looks a little bit swanky promotes equality as they are known for and also an "R =" system that can be flexible, festive and descriptive.
Grace & Peace Print Co
Grace& Peace Print Co provides gospel-driven churches and businesses with quality & affordable Apparel and Design services. I had already been familiar with the owner Paul, who also runs his own Apparel company Righteous Wretch, which has a been doing quite well the last few years.
The symbol of the dove with a screen-printing squeegee tying together his service to his grace and peace theme. Check out both his businesses!
I was given the opportunity to give a sense of identity to Graphex 46.
It's been fun working with the Art Directors Club of Tulsa, meeting new people, shooting ideas and planning Graphex. Everyone involved volunteers their time and works their ass off to build a design community in our beautiful city of Tulsa. It's pretty great.
2015's theme was "creativity is your destination."
